In our privacy policy, we have collected all the necessary information about how we process your personal data and your rights in this regard. This privacy policy comes into force on 1 June 2025.

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of this website and all Wantedbook UG (limited liability) applications, services, products and tools, collectively referred to as the “Services”, regardless of how you access or use these Services, including access via mobile devices and applications.

Whenever “Wantedbook”, “we” or “our” is mentioned in this privacy policy, this always refers to Wantedbook UG (limited liability) as the controller.

4. What personal data do we collect and process?

We collect your personal information when you use our services, create a new user account, provide us with information via a web form, add or update information in your Wantedbook user account, or otherwise interact with us. We also collect personal information from other sources (such as credit bureaus and other data providers).

In total, we collect the following personal data: 4.1 Personal data that you provide when using our services or when creating a user account

Data that identifies you, such as your name, title, address, mobile phone number and email address, is mandatory. Your username, date of birth or VAT identification number, which you provide when opening a user account or later, is mandatory. Some data, such as your phone number, is required for verification purposes, such as to prevent and investigate illegal activities.

Advertising data and data you provide during a transaction (such as your shipping address) and other transaction-related content you generate (such as advertising and other content you generate or that relates to your user account, use of the contact feature in advertising, and saved searches (including your watchlist)).

Other content you create or that is related to your account (such as user reviews).

Content you share with other users in messages using our messaging tools.

Financial information (e.g. credit card and account numbers, payment details) in connection with the use of a paid service offered by us or a payment service offered by a payment service provider as part of our services.

If you send us a report or complaint about illegal content: Information that identifies you, such as your name and email address, and any additional information you provide with your report or complaint.

You may provide us with additional information via a web form, updating or adding information to your Wantedbook user account, submitting requests, calling our customer service, which may be recorded with your consent, or contacting us for other reasons relating to our services.

Other data that we are required or authorised to collect and process by law and that we need to authenticate, identify you or verify the data we have collected.

If you do not wish to provide the required information, registration on our platform is not possible.

4.2 Personal data we automatically collect when you use our services or create a Wantedbook user account

Data that is generated during your use of our services and is associated with your user account, such as when you save search queries or advertisements.

Data about your interactions with our services (such as search queries or ad views ), your ad settings, and your communications with us (such as the number of calls you make to our customer service line); this also includes pseudonymous information we collect that a call has been made to a phone number that is individually displayed to you in an ad.

Location data, including approximate location (such as the region determined by the IP address) and the precise location of your mobile device. Please note that most mobile devices allow you to enable or disable the use of location services for all applications in the settings menu of your mobile device.

Computer and connection information, such as statistics about your visits to the Services, traffic information to and from websites, referring URLs , advertisement information, your IP address, your access times, the times you accessed, including the pages viewed on our Services, your language preferences, and your weblog information.

4.3 Personal data we collect using cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to collect data when you use our Services. We collect this data from the devices (including mobile devices) you use to access our Services. The data collected includes the following usage and device information:

Data about the pages you visit, the time, frequency and duration of those visits, the links you click and other actions you take when using our services, as well as in advertising and emails.

4.4 Personal data from other sources. We also collect personal data about you from other sources and third parties to the extent permitted by applicable law. This includes, in particular, the following data:

Publicly available data (e.g. demographic information)

Data from data providers (e.g. demographic information, data related to interest-based advertising and online advertising)

We combine the information you provide with information from these other sources. When third parties provide us with personal information, we take steps to ensure that those third parties have the right to disclose your personal information to us.

4.5 Data you share with us on social media

We use links to various social networks. Using these links, you can, among other things, share content or recommend products. The links to social networks are integrated in such a way that no personal data can be collected by the social networks simply by accessing the page. A connection to the respective social network is only established when the user clicks on the link of the social network. Providing and operating our services (including billing), including to publish and distribute advertising, profiles and other user content, and to connect you with other users with relevant offers, as well as to measure and improve the quality and success of our services, maintain the security and functionality of our services and tailor website content and services to what you may like based on the activities you take.

To facilitate and carry out transactions/communications with other users (including sharing your personal data necessary for this purpose with other Wantedbook users), to provide and improve features such as Wantedbook reviews and account management, to provide other services you use (as described in connection with such services) and to ensure the functionality of our services.

Resolving issues with your Wantedbook user account, enforcing fee collection requests, and providing other customer service. For these purposes, we may contact you via notifications in your Wantedbook user account, email, phone, SMS, push notifications on your mobile device, or postal mail. - Processing general location data (such as IP address or zip code) to provide you with location-based services (such as proximity searches and other content personalized based on your general location data). - Enforcing our Terms , this Privacy Policy, and other principles. - Sharing your listings and their content with other members or collaborating third party providers of websites, apps, services, and tools that we work with in accordance with our , so that they can publish or promote your listings and their content on their websites or in their apps, services, and tools. If we share the content of your ads and related personal data with such third party providers, we will do so only pursuant to an agreement that limits the third party provider’s use of that personal data to the purposes necessary to fulfill its contractual obligations to us. Responding to requests to protect your data subject rights under the GDPR, including sending passwords to relevant files via SMS to your phone number.

Please check whether messages sent to us through our illegal content reporting procedure (including unnamed or anonymous messages) are fraudulent or malicious.

Conducting identity checks, assessing applications and comparing information for verification purposes.

Automatically filtering and, where necessary, manually reviewing messages sent through our messaging tools, as well as advertisements or other content posted by users, to protect against fraudulent or suspicious activity or violations of our or other policies.

Analyzing and improving the Services, for example by reviewing information from our users about blocked or broken pages in order to identify and fix problems and thus provide you with an improved user experience.

Analysis of telephone conversations with our customer service that we have recorded with your consent.

Sending advertising via mail (unless you object).

In such cases, we will disclose the name, address, city, postal code, country, telephone number, email address, company name and the content of the advertisement.

5.5 With your consent, we process your personal data for the following purposes:

Personalization, measurement and improvement of our advertising and third-party advertising on our online offerings, online offerings of other participants or third parties.

Advertising by telephone or electronic means (e.g. email or SMS) unless already permitted without your express consent, including advertising of products of other members and third parties.

Analysing user behaviour to improve our services using our own and third-party tools, including in the context of product development, provided that the processing of data for these purposes is not based on another legal basis (in particular legitimate interests).

Processing data about your precise location for the purpose of providing location-based services.

The processing of your personal data is carried out on the basis of your consent so that we or third parties can provide you with the opportunity to use certain services or make them available to you.

6. International data transfer

Some recipients of your personal information are located outside your country or have offices in countries where data protection laws may provide a different level of protection than the laws of your country. We ensure appropriate security measures when transferring data to such recipients.

6.1 Other data transfers (from the European Economic Area to third countries) We will only transfer your personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA) to third countries, i.e. countries outside the EEA, on the basis of appropriate safeguards. Third countries that currently offer an adequate level of data protection include Andorra, Argentina, Canada (in relation to companies covered by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ), Switzerland, the Faroe Islands, Guernsey, the State of Israel, the Isle of Man , Japan, Jersey, South Korea, New Zealand, Uruguay, the United Kingdom and South Korea.

7. Storage period and deletion
